Jimpster – Porchlight And Rocking Chairs

Porchlight And Rocking Chairs

16 Years into his music career Jamie Odell, AKA Jimpster, is still very much relevant in the deep house music scene

He is one of the UK’s most established and consistent deep house producers and ropped his much anticipated Porchlight And  Rocking Chairs LP on May 20th, 2013, this latest offering goes a mile in proving this point. The Freerange resident has remixed pretty much everyone who’s anyone in the industry.

Artists who’ve received the Jimpster makeover include; Osunlande, Jaidene Veda, Seal and Doyle monster’s “What God Has Chosen”. Porchlight and Rocking Chairs ticks all the boxes where capturing the essence of deep house on a 12 track album is concerned. You can tell that the album was not rushed and boasts a production which manages to balance deep house tracks such as “Hold My Hand” and “Dance With The Pharoes”, chilled tracks like “Brought To Bare”, “Wanting You” and the opening track “Jasmine Dragon”.

Jimpster admits that much of the inspiration for Porchlight And Rocking Chairs came from the countless hours spent exhausted or hungover in airport lounges on the way back from gigs. It’s during such early mornings that he gets time to work on tracks on his laptop.

Kudos on this one!
