Listen: Shur-i-kan – Stepping Tones EP

When last did you hear anything from Shur-i-kan on Freerange Records?  I bet you it’s been a minute and a half. Stepping Tones is Shur-i-kan’s first EP with Freerange in three years, he’s last EP on the UK imprint was ‘One Night in Tokyo’ which came out in March 2010. His three year absence on Jimpster’s label has allowed the English producer to release music on his co-founded label (with Milton Jackson) Dark Energy Recordings and other labels such as Lazy Days Records and Body Rhythm. Shur-i-kan’s return EP has two of his original tracks, which carry his signature sound to the core, and the Stepping stone remix from Berlin rookie Kim Brown. The Stepping Stone EP is dropping on vinyl on June 3rd and on the 10th of June it’ll be exclusively on Beatport and 24 June in all the other digital stores.
